KASARAGOD: The Thangal Uppappa Urus festival would be held at Muhiyuddeen Juma Masjid, Nellikkunnu, in the district from February 20 to March 2, Uroos Committee general secretary N.A. Nellikkunnu has said. At a press conference here, Mr. Nellikkunnu said religious discourses would be held on all days at 9 p.m. The special feature of the current festival is that it would be webcast live on www.uppapauroos.com through which devotees could also submit offerings using credit cards. Religious discourses could be heard through mobile phones also and arrangements were being completed for the purpose, he said. Mr. Nellikkunnu said devotees could ask their doubts on various aspects of Islam through the site.
