“Awareness of human rights on the rise in villages too”

TAMBARAM: Awareness of human rights, its violations and the fora available for redressal were on the rise among people, even in rural areas of Tamil Nadu, said to Justice A.S. Venkatachalamurthy, Chairperson of State Human Rights Commission.

Taking part in a ‘Human rights awareness day’ function at S.D.N.B.Vaishnav College for Women, Chromepet organised recently, he said more and more people were approaching the Commission with the hope of having their grievances resolved.
