Traders’ protest on Saturday

KOCHI: A section of the traders owing allegiance to the Kerala State Vyapari Vyavasaya Samiti will keep their shops closed on February 23 protesting against the entry of multinational companies in the retail sector of the State. Samiti president Binni Immatti said here on Monday that the Central government had not initiated any steps to prevent the entry of multinational giants to the retail sector of the country. The entry of these giants would hit retail traders, he said. — Staff Reporter
