Rupee loses 10 paise


MUMBAI: Continuing the weakening trend seen for the most part of the last week, the Indian rupee posted a further steep loss of 10 paise on Monday to close at 39.77/78, its lowest in more than 10 weeks, against the greenback on continuing heavy demand for dollar.

It closed at 39.6800 on Friday.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened slightly better at 39.65/66 a dollar and touched a high of 39.6350. — PTI
