Lucknow: Two persons were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman here, officials said on Monday. Devendra Patel, Vijay Singh and three other associates kidnapped the woman from Indira Nagar locality and took her in a jeep to Piparsand village and gang-raped her. The accused were later chased away by villagers but Patel and Singh were caught and handed over to police. The victim alleged she was forcibly raped by the five persons, one of whom she claimed was a BSP leader. The jeep and a rifle were also recovered by the police.
