‘Even the unified Andhra Pradesh shares borders with Chhattisgarh’ Chandrasekhar Rao urges people of Telangana region to be vigilant
Siddipet (Medak): Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao warned the Congress Government that the people of Telangana will not allow Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to plunder the wealth of the region any more and will fight for a separate state. Addressing a public meeting at Ambedkar Chowk here on Monday under the ongoing Aseervada Yatra with the party Members of Parliament, legislators and council members, he asked people of the region to be vigilant as he suspects the Chief Minister to resort large-scale persecution in the region in the name of Maoist violence and ISI activity. Commenting on the efforts of the Congress government to paint Telangana as a hot bed of naxal activity and its borders with the troubled Chhattisgarh, KCR said the Chief Minister should remember that the even the unified Andhra Pradesh shares borders with that State. Thanking the people of Telangana for time again proving their love for a separate state by electing him from Siddipet and Karimnagar, he called upon the Telangana Congress leaders to tender resignations and keep faith in the people of the region. He expressed concern over the blast of Devadula pipeline. Affectionate welcomeEarlier Mr. Rao and the entourage of people’s representatives were given affectionate welcome at Anantasagar, located on Karimnagar-Medak border, when they arrived from Karimnagar. Villagers waited at the crossroads on Rajiv Rahadari and offered traditional welcome. Prayers offeredAt Narsapur crossroad, prayers were offered by Hindu, Muslim and Christian priests, who blessed the TRS leaders for tendering their resignations. Peers, drama artistes, folk singers led the Yatra all through the town. TRS legislators from Medak Harish Rao, Padma Devender Reddy, Ramalinga Reddy and Member of Legislative Council R. Satyanarayana, Telangana ideologue K. Jayashankar and irrigation expert Vidyasagar Rao accompanied the TRS chief. The yatra then proceeded towards Cheryala in Warangal district.
