KOCHI: Karnataka, with an all-win record, won the South Zone under-25 limited-overs cricket championship which concluded in Goa on Monday. Kerala, which won four of its five matches in the six-team league, finished runner-up. Karnataka defeated Tamil Nadu by 68 runs in its last league match on Monday while Kerala beat host Goa by three wickets. The scores: Goa 192 in 48.4 overs (Madhu Kamat 49, Prasanth Parameshwaran three for 29) lost to Kerala 193 for seven in 39.1 overs (Rajilal 59, K.J. Rakesh 61). Karnataka 220 for seven in 50 overs beat Tamil Nadu 152 in 34 overs (Wilkins Victor 60, E. Aswin 45). — Principal Correspondent
