Schoolboy drowns

SIRSI: A student of Navodaya School at Panchavati in Mundagod taluk drowned in the Dharma reservoir on Sunday. The police gave the name of the victim as Damodar Moger of Bhatkal. The boy allegedly skipped physical training and went for a swim with 16 other students of the school. He drowned after diving into the reservoir. The Mundagod police have registered a case.
