Dhimsa dance festival inaugurated

KORAPUT: The State-level Dhimsa Dance Festival was inaugurated by Balakrishna Sahu, the district Collector in Koraput today. The three-day-long festival would discuss on the various aspects and challenges in preserving and promoting the richness of the age-old dance form of the tribals, K.C. Nishanko, the district Culture Officer said.

Addressing the gathering of experts, performers and learners, K.C.Panigrahy, the Director of Tribal Museum highlighted on the need of maintaining the originality of the dance form while promoting the dance.

Participants A.P. and Chattisgarh are taking part.
