BANGALORE: Sree Rama Vidyalaya, Jayanagar, bid farewell to its outgoing students of Class X at the graduation ceremony organised in Ayodhya Kalyana Mantapa here on Saturday. Twenty students will be leaving the school with ideals inculcated in them by their mentors.

Surya Prakash J., professor of physics at BHSS College, in his valedictory address, told the outgoing students to build a strong platform for their future life by concentrating on academics in the next few years.

“Between the ages of 16 and 20, about 2 billion chemical reactions take place every second in the brain and as you put on years, the number of chemical reactions decrease. So, next few years are very crucial for you,” he said. In her farewell speech, Radhika said the school had given each student an opportunity to develop potential to the optimum level and enabled him to be creative, competent, and progressive as well as responsible person.

G. Sriram said, “The teachers have been standing by us each and every second and have taught us not only what is there in our books but also how to deal with life. The juniors have provided us the opportunity to be leaders and have given us a lot of joy and sweet memories which will always remain with us.” He presented a poem penned by him lauding the efforts of academic advisor Padma Sharma. Secretary N.M. Rathnaiah Setty said that it was the endeavour of the school to create awareness among students with the help of the curriculum, about their role in society and to make each of its students a complete individual with a balanced personality.

Academic advisor Padma Sharma told her pupil to uphold the values taught at school and bring laurels to their alma mater. Principal V. Rangavallabhi welcomed the gathering. Institution president Manandi R. Suresh Kumar and vice-president M.V. Subbaiah Setty were present.

Valedictory

At a ceremonious event, Army Public School bid farewell to its outgoing students of Class XII recently. Brigadier Clement Samuel, chairman of the school, presided over the function.

He told the students that they were entering a phase of choices that would ultimately make their life. Reminding them of the school motto “Truth is God”, he told them to be never afraid of speaking the truth as truth never kills or maims and is most powerful. The function began with the reading of scrolls by the head girl and vice-head girl, conveying best wishes and prayers for each other on behalf of the Class XII and XI students, respectively. This was followed by the exchange of scrolls and school colours by various captains denoting the handing over and assuming of responsibilities. Principal Manjula Raman wished well all her students. Later, the students enjoyed an array of games, dances and songs presented by the juniors.

It surely was a memorable day for the outgoing students.
