Man kills wife, surrenders

NEW DELHI: A young man allegedly strangled his wife and then surrendered in the Tilak Nagar police station on Sunday. According to the police, Jitender went to the police station and claimed that he had killed his wife Jyoti. The police rushed to his house and found the body. During interrogation, Jitender disclosed that he married 22-year-old Jyoti in 2006 and it was a love marriage. Jitender purportedly told the police that he was unemployed and had lately started suspecting his wife of having an extramarital affair. An enquiry under the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate has been ordered.
