Bank peon dies in accidental firing

NEW DELHI: A 49-year-old peon with the Karol Bagh branch of IDBI Bank was shot dead when the bank’s guard accidentally pulled the trigger of his firearm on Monday.

The tragic incident took place around 5-30 p.m. when Vinay accidentally fired his gun. The bullet hit Chandra Dev in the eye and he collapsed on the floor. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police have arrested Vinay and seized the gun.
