Kakinada: First Additional Senior Civil Judge GV Krishnam Raju on Tuesday said reforms in legal education were yielding good results. The performance of junior advocates had also improved a lot due to the changes brought about in legal education by the Bar Council of India, he observed. Addressing law students at the valedictory of the `Advocates Chambers Visit for LL.B Students Programme’ at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Law (RGIL), Mr Krishnam Raju said it was essential for the advocates and judges to keep themselves informed of the trends in legal education and also the processes of administering of justice so that they fulfilled the requirements of the parties concerned without digressing from the procedures and norms. Second Additional District Judge T Ramesh Babu said the legal professionals had ample opportunities today and it was up to them utilize the same by honing their skills. RGIL chairman PV Viswam said efforts were on to improve the standard of legal education. RGIL Principal PV Trinadh and others spoke.
