E-stamping to be introduced in March

BANGALORE: The Stamps and Registration Department has almost finalised the dates for implementation of the e-stamping system of property transaction in the State, which would help eliminate the use of stamp papers. Inspector-General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps H. Shashidhar said the new system would be introduced between March 1 and 10 on an experimental basis. The department had requested Governor Rameshwar Thakur to launch the new system. To begin with, eight areas in the city would have e-stamping facility.
