Man arrested while selling bear cubs

Bangalore: The Andhra Pradesh Forest Department officials on Monday arrested Shah in Hyderabad while he was illegally selling two sloth bear cubs brought from Karnataka.

According to a forest official, Shah was found selling the cubs at Rs. 16,000 each.

The official said the two three-month old cubs are suspected to have been brought after killing their mother in the forests of Bellary district. — Staff Reporter
