Koushik shines

Coimbatore: An unbeaten 89 by Koushik enabled Sree Jayendra Saraswathi Maha Vidyalaya MHSS score a three-wicket win over Nehru Vidyalaya in the quarterfinal of the CDCA under-13 inter school cricket tournament for the Coimbatore Metropolis Trophy.

The scores (quarterfinals): Raghavendra MHSS 79 in 19.4 overs lost to Suburban HSS 80 for five in 11.1 overs, Stanes AIHSS 146 for six in 25 overs (N. Jagadeesan 46) bt Vidya Vikasini MHSS 103 in 24 overs (Abishek four for 30, Dhanush four for 23), Sree Jayendra Saraswathi 177 for three in 25 overs (Koushik 89 n.o.) bt Nehru Vidyalaya 149 for seven in 25 overs (Nishanth 75, Rishab Bafna 41). — Sports Reporter
