Air-India resumes flights

BHUBANESWAR: Consequent upon consistent pressure from different quarters, including the stakeholders of the hospitality industry here, the aviation giant Air-India resumed some of its suspended services in the Bhubaneswar-Kolkata-Bangalore -Chennai sector from Monday. While the flights IC 541 from Bangalore to Bhubaneswar and IC 542 from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore were made daily, there would be additional direct flights on Tuesdays and Fridays between the two cities. The former would take off from Bangalore at 9.30 a.m. and arrive in the city at 1 p.m. The Bhubaneswar-Bangalore flight would leave the city at 1.25 p.m. and arrive at Bangalore at 3.20 p.m.

The direct flights would leave Bangalore at 10.30 a.m. to arrive at Bhubaneswar at 12.25 a.m. The return flight from the city would be at 1.25 p.m. to reach Bangalore at 3.20 p.m. Similarly, there would be daily flights between Chennai and Bhubaneswar and Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. The flight would take off from Chennai at 11.05 a.m. and reach Bhubaneswar at 1 p.m. It would leave the city at 5 p.m. to reach Chennai at 6.55 p.m.

The Kolkata-Bhubaneswar flight is scheduled to leave at 1.40 p.m. to land in city at 2.35 p.m. The return flight would be at 3.25 p.m. from Bhubaneswar to land in Kolkata at 4.20 p.m.

Meanwhile, Jetlite also announced to commence its operations between Kolkata and Bhubaneswar from March 1.
