Junior engineers stage demonstration

BHUBANESWAR: Junior engineers appointed in Panchayati Raj Department on Tuesday staged a demonstration demanding streamlining of the process of their promotion to the post of assistant engineer.

Though the State Administrative Tribunal had asked the government to finalise promotions of junior engineers in 2006, no step was taken so far, general secretary of the Panchayati Raj Service Engineers’ Association Manmohan Pati alleged.
