Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has given its nod to the proposal of compulsory weekly off to all the non-gazetted officers and other ranks (Ors) from Constable to Inspector as announced by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. It was informed that necessary orders have already been issued and this facility was being extended to all NGOs/Ors by rotation of duty in all units and sub units in such a manner that the work should not suffer.
