Thiruvananthapuram: The dawn-to-dusk State-wide hartal called by the UDF to protest against price hike caused a loss of Rs. 2.5 crore to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) as it could not operate the full-fledged schedule due to hartal, Chairman and Managing Director of KSRTC T.P. Senkumar said. 16 incidents of attack on KSRTC buses and property had been reported, he added. KRSTC buses, bus stations, and canteens were the targets of UDF activists in several districts. Over 50 buses were damaged and over a dozen people injured, one seriously, in stone-pelting.
