Another case of vigilante justice in Bihar
Chapra: In yet another case of vigilante justice in Bihar, two youths who had allegedly raped a girl in Saran district were thrashed by locals, resulting in the death of one of them and severe injuries to the other, the police said on Tuesday.
The duo and another youth had allegedly raped a girl after threatening her with a weapon on Sunday. She had gone, along with three girls, from Bhagwan Bazaar in that district to Daroga Rai riverine area for collecting firewood, a police official said. The locals caught two of them hiding in a thatched house and beat them, he said adding the third accomplice managed to flee.
The police arrived shortly and admitted both the youths to a local hospital where one of them, Karia Sah (25), died. — PTI
