Avis posts win

MANGALORE: Avis (Mangalore) and Kundapura Sports Academy (Kundapur) posted wins in the Ramco Cup cricket tournament at the Nehru Maidan here on Tuesday.

While Avis defeated Ullal Cricket Academy by 63 runs, Kundapur defeated Udupi Cricket Association by 18 runs.

The scores: Avis 184 for seven in 25 overs (Chandrakanth Purohith 47, Shalon Pinto 41) bt Ullal CA 121 for six in 25 overs; Kundapur SA 122 for seven in 25 overs (Nikhil Kanchan 60 n.o.) bt Udupi CA 104 in 21 overs.
