Train passengers robbed

Chennai: Two passengers on the Chennai-Gummudipoondi sector suburban train (MG 45) were robbed of gold jewellery, mobile phones and cash at around 12.15 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to a complaint lodged by one of the victims, Anil Kumar, a lawyer, the incident occurred between Nandiambakkam and Minjur stations. Three youths entered the compartment in which the victim and another elderly man were travelling and threatened them at knife point to part with valuables. The thieves jumped from the train as it neared Minjur Station.
