Bhubaneswar: The less travelled VIP of Orissa is its Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development Minister, C.P. Majhi, who spent only Rs. 28,911 during the past four years. Majhi runs in sharp contrast to his ministerial colleague in the Revenue Department Manmohan Samal, who spent the highest amount of Rs. 18,29,014 during the period. The high-flying chief minister, Naveen Patnaik spent Rs. 10,74,067 on tours, used aircraft for 15 times He, however, never undertook any foreign tour since 2000. All the travel details were furnished by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raghunath Mohanty in the State Assembly on Wednesday. He said a total of Rs. 1,72,76,936 was spent on the tour of the ministers since May 2004. Minister said Energy and Information Technology Minister S.N. Patro came second in the list of tour expenditure by spending Rs. 18,12,117 followed by Rs. 15,69,971 of Agriculture Minister S.N. Nayak. - PTI
