A carnival of vintage cars
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Lovers of vintage cars and motorcycles should head for “The HMCI National Autojumble” at Mehrauli here on Sunday.
Described as the country’s first carnival of vintage cars, motorcycles, memorabilia, automotive fine arts, accessories and manuals, the event intends to attract car connoisseurs and create curiosity among the uninitiated so that they can develop a fondness for vintage beauties and motorcycles.
From over the country
Organised by The Heritage Motoring Club of India, the event will see participants from various cities including Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Visitors would get an opportunity to interact with collectors such as Manvendra Singh of Barwani and Raja Digvijay Narain Singh of Tirwa.
Other attractions
Also on display would be automotive fine arts, sports and games for children, “Guess the Car Component” competition and live music.
After the success of its vintage and classic car display at the “9th Auto Expo” in Pragati Maidan and “2nd Haig Vintage Rally” at Khan Market, HMCI is organising the country’s first Auto jumble.
