PUDUCHERRY: A local court here has directed the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Union Territory to inquire into the alleged financial irregularities in the functioning of Mahe Co-operative Centre for Information Technology Limited. The order issued on Tuesday said, “The complaint is forwarded under Section 156 (3) of Criminal Procedure Code to Chief Vigilance Officer, Secretariat Building, Pondicherry, for taking necessary action to see a case is registered and investigated.” The court had also sought a status report along with a copy of the First Information Report on March 7, 2008. The court’s directive was based on an affidavit filed by V. Sudhakaran, a resident of Mahe, highlighting the alleged irregularities committed by 10 members in the governing board of the Mahe Co-operative Centre for Information Technology. Health Minister E. Valsaraj is the president of Mahe Co-operative Centre for Information Technology.
