Golden jubilee on April 11

CUDDALORE: The Faculty of Agriculture of Annamalai University will celebrate its golden jubilee on April 11, according to G.Kuppuswamy, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture.
After attending the national seminar on “Fifty years of agriculture,” organised by the faculty to commemorate the Golden Jubilee on the university campus at Chidambaram on Wednesday, he told reporters that besides Pro-Chancellor M.A.M.Ramaswamy, renowned farm scientists and experts would attend the function.
From 1958
Mr. Kuppuswamy said the faculty, started in 1958, had been growing from strength to strength. Besides undergraduate and postgraduate courses it was also offering part-time and full-time Ph.D programmes.
The total strength of students and scholars enrolled in these programmes had touched 800, he added.
