Full of contradictions: BJP

Special Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas has compared the Governor’s address to a third rate essay full of contradictions and tall claims.

In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that it also reflected the inaction and ineffectiveness of the last 21 months. It was tantamount to an open declaration that no pro-people measure need be expected from the government.

Even though the introductory part of the Governor’s speech spoke about a surge ahead, the very next page admitted that the government’s performance was cramped by Centre’s policies and the debt trap created by the previous government.

There was not even a mention in the speech about price rise and unemployment, two of the biggest problems confronting the State. The government actually cut a sorry figure by blaming the Centre for it was the Left parties which propped up the Union government.
