Koushik, Godwin sparkle

Coimbatore: J. Koushik’s unbeaten 122 (70b, 17x4) and A. Godwin Rubesh’s six-wicket haul enabled favourite Sree Jayendra Saraswathi Maha Vidyalaya MHSS score a convincing 161-run win over Kendriya Vidyalaya in a semifinal clash of the CDCA under-13 inter-School cricket tournament for the Coimbatore Metropolis Trophy at the SNR Sons grounds here on Wednesday.

Earlier, Stanes AIHSS posted a 99-run win over Suburban HSS for a place in the final.

The scores: Semifinals: Sree Jayendra Saraswathi 208 for five in 25 overs (J. Koushik 122 n.o.) bt Kendriya Vidyalaya 47 in 13.2 overs (A. Godwin Rubesh six for 16); Stanes 146 for one in 25 overs (V. Dhanush 56 n.o.) bt Suburban 47 in 9.3 overs (Manoj five for 23).
