Mayor’s plea

Mayor Mallika Begum urged members of residential welfare associations to extend their cooperation to the staff of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and help them solve civic issues. Addressing a meeting organised in connection with the constitution of the first ever all-women residential welfare associations in Paykapuram and Prajasakthinagar, she said it was heartening to see women coming forward to take up responsibilities. VMC Commissioner N. Gulzar, local corporators and others were present.
