Policemen attacked

NEW DELHI: Two miscreants opened fire at a PCR team and robbed a man of his motorcycle and fled from Mandawali in East Delhi on Wednesday. The accused have been identified and a hunt launched for them. According to the police, the incident took place around 12-45 p.m. when Constables Roop Kishore, Lalit and Jagdish of the PCR were conducting routine checks of vehicles. They intercepted two young men riding a motorcycle. As the two were unable to furnish the documents of the vehicle, the policemen asked them to accompany them to the PCR van. Suddenly one of the culprits whipped out a country-made firearm and fired four rounds at the police.

The policemen escaped unhurt. The culprits ran on foot, robbed a man of his motorcycle and fled from the scene.
