Woman raped near Governor house
Chandigarh: A 40-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two Haryana armed police personnel and a commando attached to the State Governor in the wee hours of Thursday, police said.
Police personnel accused
The woman, employed with a caterer, was returning home in an auto when she was stopped by the police personnel close to the official residence of Haryana Governor, Station House Officer Ram Gopal said.
Auto driver thrashed
They thrashed the auto driver and forcibly took the woman to their quarters adjacent to the Governor house and allegedly raped her, the victim told police in her complaint. All the three accused have been detained by police, he said, adding necessary legal action will be taken after a thorough probe. — PTI
