Kakinada: The P.R Government College has invited applications from graduates for admission to the two-month training course offered at its Jawahar Knowledge Centre. The candidates have to pay Rs 1,000 as admission fee and Rs 300 for the course material. The applications have to be submitted to JKC mentors at the college, according to its principal K Balaiah.

The candidates will be imparted communication and English language skills, computer knowledge and Mathematics which are essential to succeed in various competitive examinations and job interviews.

Balaiah stated that 216 students who underwent training in the JKC were recruited in 2007-08 by reputed companies such as Infosys Technologies, Satyam Computer Services Ltd, Wipro, Citibank, Reliance Industries and NFCL.

Those passing out of the JKC will obviously have the edge over others as they would be fine tuned to the tasks by experienced faculty with the help of quality study material, the principal added.
