GUNTUR: The 23rd annual day celebrations of R.V.R & J.C College of Engineering will be held on Saturday. National Institute of Warangal, Director and AICTE South Central Region Chairman Y.V. Rao will be the chief guest. Vamsi Krishna of Happy Days’ film fame will be guest of honour. College principal P.S. Sankara Rao said a slew of literary and cultural programmes are being conducted on Friday and Saturday. Events included, T-shirt painting, collage, pencil shading, rangoli and face painting. Competitions in general quiz, singing and essay writing will also be held. Innovative eventsInnovative events like, Play ‘O’ Mania, Rock ‘n’ demand, group dances would be held. A personality contest will be held for the title. The students would be presenting several folk items at the annual day celebrations. A group dance comprising 76 students, designed to a similar number played at the IIT-Chennai- Sarang will be staged as the welcome song, he added. Literary and Cultural Committee convener Kolla Srinivas was present.
