Hyderabad: A city based animation company and entertainment firm, ‘Dreams’ launched their first animation project, ‘Kutty Chetan’, a full length feature film for the entire family based on a folk tale from Kerala.

Kutty Chetan is about a playful blue spirit called Chetan, trapped to serve as a guardian of a supernatural ruby for hundreds of years. The secrets of freeing Chetan are in an astrological chart that falls into the hands of three heroes- Raj, a gadget lover, Yamini, the girl next door who performs magic tricks and Snuggles- a talking parrot who is actually a human astrologer!

It is up to our three heroes to decipher the riddles in the chart and go on an adventure to save him when they face a giant fire breathing hell hound, a dragon maze and a cavern full of flying swords.

In the post production stage with over 30 layout artists and 70 animators from India, Manila and Philippines furiously working on the project, the film is likely to be released in December said Dreams CEO and MD Deepak Jadhav.

He had earlier worked in animation movies like ‘Little Buddha’, ‘Hanuman’ and yet-to-be- released ‘Ghatothkach’.

Pritam Chakraborthy, the famous Bollywood composer behind such awesome musical hits like ‘Dhoom’,‘Life in a Metro’ and ‘Jab We Met’ has given the background score of Kutty Chetan which will be a combination of 2D and 3D animation.

The movie is to be released in five languages of Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bhojpuri and English. ’Dreams’ is also planning two more animation films - ‘The Trap’ and ‘Inside Me’, said Mr. Jadhav.
