Qawwals hold court
They are making waves in the literary circles. The qawwals from across the borders are a big hit with the Hyderabadis.
Abdullah Nyazi and his team are winning hearts and minds with their unique brand of qawwali. They set the night afire at the Chanchalguda Junior College ground first. As word spread there was a big turnout at Ravindra Bharathi the other day to listen to the Pakistani qawwals. The open air amphitheatre was packed to capacity as qawwali lovers came in large numbers. As the temperatures dipped Nyazi set the night afire with his soulful ghazals.
