Asks cadre to grow to a stage where Dalits allocate seats

Sangareddy: Former union minister and Medak Member of Parliament A. Narendra addressed the Bahujan Samaj Party district cadre here today at a private function hall.

He called upon the cadre not to seek seats from upper castes leaders and asked them to grow to that stage where Dalits and the marginalised communities allocate seats to the minority forward caste communities that form less than 15 per cent of the State’s population.

He said that BSP chief and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has given a new direction to the Indian politics by bringing the Dalits to the centre stage.

Comparing it with the State he said the only few communities have been dominating political parties and government in the State.

BSP national general secretary Mahesh Arya, State president Katti Dhanraj, legislator L. Raja Rao and Radha Kishan Deshpande a close confidante of Narendra were also present.
