Krishnapatrika anniversary

Tributes were paid to ‘Krishnapatrika’ the 105-year old Telugu newspaper, on its anniversary here on Thursday.

Padmashree Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad recalled its role during the national movement. Its legendary editor Mutnuri Krishna Rao was known for his fearless editorials, he said. Gandhian K.S. Sastry reminisced his association with Krishna Rao. Editor of the daily Piratla Venkateswarlu said Krishnapatrika’s reports had chronicled the evolution of Telugu language. Social worker C. Umadevi spoke.
