HYDERABAD: Two gangmen were killed and another was seriously injured when the Konark Express ran over them near Lingampally railway station on Thursday afternoon. The dead gangmen were identified as S.K. Sattar (31), hailing from Bowenpally and Istari (57) of Bibinagar in Nalgonda district. The duo along with two other workers Yadaiah and Balaiah were involved in the repair of the railway track from the morning. The Mumbai-bound train chugging in from the Lingampally station rammed into three of them - Sattar, Istari and Yadaiah, while they were crossing tracks around 1.10 p.m. after partaking lunch. Sattar and Istari died on the spot while Yadaiah has received head injuries. He was admitted to the Central Railway hospital at Lalaguda where his condition is said to be stable. Balaiah escaped unhurt. The Nampally Railway Inspector, V. Surya Chander, said the workers were repairing tracks .
