BIDAR: The Janata Dal (Secular) bagged the posts of president and vice-president in the Chittaguppa Town Municipal Council to which elections were held on Friday. Pasha Begum of the Janata Dal (Secular) was elected president of the town municipal council. She polled 10 votes, while her rival from the Congress, Sridevi, secured nine votes. Sarika Dattu of the Bharatiya Janata Party polled five votes. Abdul Kader of the Janata Dal (Secular) was elected unopposed as the vice-president of the town municipal council. — Staff Correspondent
