District Supply officials seize 12 bags of ration rice in Salem

ATTUR: A team of District Supply officials seized 12 bags of rice that were meant for supply under the Public Distribution System, in Anna Nagar here on Friday.

Tip-off

Acting on a tip-off, the officials raided the colony and found a few bags on a street.

A few persons who were standing near the bags fled the spot on seeing the officials.

The officials found PDS rice in the bags. Further investigation was going on, official sources said.
