THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For the women lawyers and employees at the District Court, Vanchiyoor, this year’s Pongala was an opportunity to seek divine intervention for a public cause. Cutting across religious differences, dozens of lawyers and employees offered Pongala on the premises of the court for the speedy establishment of a High Court Bench in the capital city. They were expressing solidarity with the ongoing campaign by the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association. The relay satyagraha by the Bar Association in front of the Court entered the eighth day on Friday. The lawyers who participated in the public meeting were offered ‘Pongala prasadam’ and lime juice.
