Accident victim commits suicide

KOCHI: One person, who was injured in the Maradu fireworks accident on Monday, died in a city hospital after he jumped from the seventh floor.

Officials at Medical Trust Hospital said that Nandakumar, 42, of Kattithara House, Kunnalakadu, Ayaninada, Maradu, suffered injuries in the leg and was about to be discharged from the hospital on Friday.

He was suffering from withdrawal symptoms of being an alcoholic.

The body was released after post-mortem examination . He is survived by two children Anuraj and Anjali.
