Charge-sheet filed against Ashok Jain

NEW DELHI: Two days after arresting former Municipal Councillor Ashok Jain in connection with the murder of a builder, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police on Friday filed a charge-sheet against him and other accused in the case.
In its charge-sheet filed in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alok Agarwal, the Delhi police has accused Jain and nine other accused -- Pramod Singh, Bhishm Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Pravin Kohli, Gopal Krishan Aggarwal, Desh Raj, Hitender alias Pappu and Rishi Pal -- under Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 302 (murder) and 404 (misappropriation of property possessed by deceased person at the time of his death) of the Indian Penal Code.
The court has taken cognisance of the charge- sheet and issued a production warrant for Hitender who is in judicial custody in connection with another case on March 4.
Jain had allegedly hired contract killers to kill Vijay Dahiya who was shot dead on September 29, 2007, at Hauz Qazi in North Delhi.
