Nine TRS MLAs suspended

HYDERABAD: Nine Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members were suspended from the Assembly for two days on Friday as they continued to stall the proceedings demanding a resolution seeking statehood for Telangana.

The members protested near the podium of Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy after he disallowed their notice for an adjournment motion to discuss their demand. They held placards and shouted slogans.

Mr. Reddy appealed to the group to move a non-official resolution in support of their demand as it was permitted in the day as part of transacting private members’ business. However, the members refused to avail of the opportunity.
