Anand’s fine run continues

BANGALORE: Anand Pawar upset Finland’s No.1 player Ville Lang in two straight games 21-11, 21-12 to reach the semifinals of the Austrian Open badminton in Vienna. In the semifinals, he will play Nathan Rice of England.

Earlier, Anand got the better of Austria’s top player Juergen Koch late last night when the Austrian conceded the second game after Anand won the first set 22-20.
