Satyam’s centre for life sciences

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computers on Friday launched its life sciences centre of excellence (CoE) which will help the company identify business challenges and provide solutions to pharmaceuticals, biotechnology companies and manufacturers of medical devices.

Addressing a press conference here, Ram Mynampati, President, Commercial Healthcare Business, Satyam, said the company was creating holistic and comprehensive solutions cutting across verticals. Customers were no longer impressed by the buildings and real estate, but were more interested in convergence of the intellectual investment and competency and converting the same into tangible solutions.

At least six of the top 10 pharma companies in the world and some Indian pharma majors were among the clients of the life sciences division, said Kishore Rachapudi, Global Head of the division.
