Anandan scalps five

THANJAVUR: R. Anandan scalped five wickets as KK Computers defeated Tuff XI by 26 runs in a Thanjavur DCA first division league cricket match here.

The scores: KK Computers CC 202 in 35 overs (Vijaya Deepan 43) bt Tuff XI 176 in 34 overs (R. Anandan five for 37).

ICG CC 102 in 24 overs (P. Sakthi five for 24) lost to KM CC 105 for five in 16 overs.

Loganathan shines

S. Loganathan’s all round performance (42 & four for seven) helped Bishop Heber College ‘A’ score a 57-run win over Majestic CC in a Tiruchi DCA second division league cricket match here.

The scores: First division: Neptune CC 134 in 36.1 overs (S. Krishna Kumar 54, K.S. Arun Mozhi four for 28) lost to MAP CC 137 for six in 35.1 overs. Second division: Bishop Heber College ‘A’ CC 154 for nine in 40 overs (S. Loganathan 42) bt Majestic CC 97 in 26.4 overs (Lokesh Selvan four for 25, S. Loganathan four for seven).

Kallakudi scores win

Kallakudi defeated Tiruchi Union 3-0 in a Tiruchi DFA third division ‘B’ zone football league fixture here. Edward Jerald, Arivalagan and Stephen Jabaraj were the scorers.

Second division: Bishop Heber College 0 drew with R.K. MFC 0. Third division: Athavan 2 (Dhuraisamy, Karthik) bt Rock City 0.

Vellore blanks Dindigul
