Chipli scores century

Bangalore: Bharath Chipli’s 104 set up Canara Bank’s 34-run victory over Air India in a MTR Nivarana Basavanagudi Cup All India invitation tournament quarterfinal match here on Friday. Canara Bank scored 228 for seven in 30 overs and bowled out Air India for 194 in 29.4 overs with Rajshekar grabbing four wickets.

Saturday’s semifinal line-up: Vijaya Bank vs Hyderabad CA XI; RWF vs Canara Bank.

The scores (quarterfinals): Canara Bank 228 for seven in 30 overs (Bharath Chipli 104) bt Air India 194 in 29.4 overs (S. Marathe 73, Ishanth Gandha 42, Rajshekar four for 26).

Nasik CA 158 for nine in 30 overs (S. Kapase 44) lost to Vijaya Bank 161 for six in 28 overs (K.M. Aiyappa 47 n.o.).

RWF 189 for seven in 30 overs (Sunil Kumar Jain 60) bt SBM 179 in 29.2 overs (Akhil 60).
