Entries called for Telugu short stories

NEW DELHI: R. S. Krishna Moorthy Memorial Committee has once again called for entries for its annual award for compilation/ collection of Telugu short stories.

The cash component of the awards has been hiked to Rs. 5,000,

Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 for the first, second and third prize winners respectively from this year. Earlier, it was Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000.

Announcing this, R.Sailaja, member of the Committee, said the format for the award has also been changed. From this year on, awards would be presented for best anthologies released or published by writers instead of individual stories.

Interested writers could send two copies of their anthologies of short stories published during 2007 to N.S.Murthy, 2, Ground Floor, Mytri Palace, 4th Main, 20th Cross, Nspalaya, Bangalore-76. March 31 is the last date for entry. The awards are being given since 2002.
